Product Description
This introduction to cursive handwriting practice will provide you with a wide variety of fine motor tasks and cursive stroke practice. Using a multisensory approach, this resource provides tips and activities to build a solid foundation for cursive handwriting. Many children lack the fine motor strength and dexterity for lengthy writing assignments. If you have students who need additional fine motor practice in order to approach written tasks, this resource is going to help them tremendously.
You may follow the order I provide or choose which pages work best for your students. The preview will provide you with a clear view of what is included. Please download it first to decide it this is right for your students.
You will find:
-Hand warm-up practice with a kinesthetic approach
-Multisensory teaching suggestions to incorporate into every cursive lesson.
-A wide variety of stroke practice task cards
-Tracing cards for large muscle and small muscle groups. (I encourage you to incorporate sky-writing with this resource.)
-Cursive letter mats (upper and lower case)
-Cursive letter practice pages: I have grouped and named letters according to similar strokes.
-Two styles of lined paper. (One is highlighted yellow for additional scaffolding with sizing.)
-Fun alphabet dot-to-dot task cards with cursive letter practice
