I am a mom of two boys, enjoying a marriage of 15 years. My passion for teaching struggling readers stems from my oldest son's struggle with dyslexia, paired with several years of teaching school-based reading interventions.
Experience :
- I began teaching struggling readers in 2008. I currently serve as an adjunct professor at the University of Central Florida, as a private literacy consultant to public schools, and as a tutor for students who are impacted by dyslexia.
Education :
- Master's and Doctoral Degrees specializing in Reading Education at the University of Central Florida.
Orton-Gillingham Training Information :
- 60 hours of coursework through the Orton & Gillingham Academy. Application for Associate level certification to be submitted June, 2022.
