Hi, my name is Sue. I have been working in the field of special education for the past 30 years. My experience includes working with students, grades 1-12, in both the public and private school settings, as well as in private tutoring sessions.
As an Orton-Gillingham tutor, I screen students to identify their specific strengths and needs, and then deliver instruction that is necessary to grow their skills. I believe that all children are capable of achieving success, and I strive to guide them in this process through the use of individualized instruction that is multisensory, direct, diagnostic and prescriptive. I also believe that nurturing a student's self-esteem is an important part of this process.
