As a former teacher who has a dyslexic child, I have a passion for helping struggling readers figure out the code to our English language. I have a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood from UTSA, plus I am trained in the Orton-Gillingham and Slingerland method, the gold standards of reading intervention. I can help fill in the gaps and get your child on the road to success through individualized, one on one literacy intervention lessons.
My daughter was diagnosed in third grade but I knew there was something not quite right when she was as little as 3 years old. It turned out that it was not “developmental” and by the time I figured out what she needed, she was far behind the others in her class. I tutored her at home and now she is graduating with honors. I am here to help bridge the gaps in skills and give hope to worried parents and frustrated learners. English is NOT a mystery language. All you need is the key to unlock the code that most people never learn in school. Dyslexics just take a different neuropathway to the language center of the brain. I’m here to give them a fair chance at success by teaching the way they learn!
