Heather Mistretta (M. Ed., C-SLDI, CALP), has over 20 years of experience in education and has worked with students at every grade level from preschool through high school.
Heather is a Certified Dyslexia Practitioner and has professional membership in the International Dyslexia Association, The Center for Effective Reading Instruction, and the Academic Language Therapy Association. She is also a tri-licensed teacher in Massachusetts: Early Childhood (prek-2), Moderate Disabilities (prek-8), and Reading Specialist Licensure (prek-12).
Heather has worked to empower teachers and educate stakeholders on the importance of play in early elementary classrooms. Most recently, she has focused on the impact of early play experiences on foundational literacy skills.
She lives with her husband and three (almost grown) children in central Massachusetts.
