Decodable Cloze Reading Passages for Reading Comprehension

This collection of over 60 decodable passages also serves as a CLOZE comprehension activity. Each passage focuses on one skill at a time. 

Students are given a word bank above the passage, Using the word bank, as well as context clues, they’ll fill in the blank by the best word to complete each sentence and write it on the lines provided.

These decodable passages not only provide valuable decoding and encoding practice, they also serve as a warm up for reading comprehension assessments with a MAZE or CLOZE format.
