Product Description
Greetings! I’ve wanted to create a product with poetry frames to use with six traits writing for quite awhile now, and here it is! *There is a set of directions in a mini-poster for each poem. You may wish to model your own first before students attempt to write their own.
*Even though this product has a Valentine’s Day theme to it, the poems don’t have to be about Valentine’s Day.
* Each 6 traits poem comes with a frame for students to fill in their own poetry. Please see the preview for an example.
*Brainstorm different ideas together as a class. When students finish, give everyone a cover to decorate and staple their books together.
* If you do not wish to have students create a poem for every trait, you can make this a whole class activity. Assign or let students choose one or more frames to write a poem and make one whole class book of poetry. Give everyone a copy of it, and be sure to leave one in the classroom library for all to enjoy!
