Product Description
I am a certified Orton-Gillingham teacher. My certification is from an IMSLEC approved program. I trained using the Massachusetts General Hospital Orton-Gillingham training curriculum. On Track was created to help you determine a starting point for your students when using the Orton-Gillingham approach and my materials. Finding a starting point is a very important step when beginning OG. Having the proper tools to help you make this decision for your students is critical. I use this resource to assess my students when they are about to begin somewhere in level THREE, or are ready to exit level THREE. Once I administer the pre or post test, I carefully look at the errors and gaps. I use the progression chart to choose my starting point and begin planning my lessons based on my data. My Orton-Gillingham materials align with this resource.
The Literacy Nest, LLC creates multisensory activities to use with reading intervention for struggling readers. Many of these dyslexia resources can be used as dyslexia activities, dyslexia strategies, or to support an Orton-Gillingham program or dyslexia intervention program.
