I’m Emily Gibbons, founder of The Literacy Nest and creator of Word List Builder. For more than a decade, I have created structured literacy resources that help educators translate their professional knowledge into purposeful, individualized instruction.
I understand how much new O-G Fellows and FITs are balancing. In addition to learning the approach, you’re guiding your trainees and practicum students as they learn how to write and develop lessons, find appropriate words and texts and prepare for the application process, all while teaching them to make instructional decisions with greater confidence.
My goal is not to replace any part of your training. It is to support the work you are already doing by making carefully developed resources and practical tools more accessible to your trainees.

Bring Word List Builder to Your Training Cohort
Learning to select words purposefully is an important part of becoming a diagnostic-prescriptive practitioner. It can also be one of the most time-consuming parts of lesson preparation for new trainees.
Word List Builder helps educators search for words by phonics concept, spelling pattern, syllable type, and morphology. Trainees can then use those words to create customized instructional materials for their individual students.

Guest Workshops for Trainees

Private practice mentoring is separate from O-G coursework, practicum supervision, and certification requirements. It is designed to help trainees think through the business and organizational decisions involved in serving students independently.
Fellows may invite Emily to provide a group introduction to private practice or share individual mentoring opportunities with interested trainees.
