The Literacy Nest: Where Fledgling Readers Grow
Here's a brief summary of all three.
1. The Literacy Nest Facebook page. This is my official Facebook page where I post daily and get to interact with all my wonderful fans. I post about dyslexia awareness, Orton-Gillingham, literacy resources, and special events in my stores. I started it about two years ago and it has grown to over 10,000 fans! It's always helpful to me and you if you like, comment or share posts. That way my posts get seen by more fans, including you! :)
3. Orton-Gillingham Instructors: Back in the Fall, a fan approached me about starting a private group for OG teachers. I had been wanting to do this for awhile, and I was so glad to receive more interest. This is a small and private group. You can only become a member by invitation only and you must be an OG teacher. Why the exclusivity? I wanted to keep this group small, and have a place for OG teachers to come together, learn from each other and support one another. I am not the only one posting. Any member can post and ask for ideas or share. I absolutely LOVE this group and the members are incredibly knowledgeable. We even run a weekly book discussion. If you are an OG teacher, you do not want to miss this one. You can private message me on my Facebook page, or email me at theliteracynest@gmail.com if you would like to become a member. When you email me, I will ask you to share a little bit about your OG training background.
Having this blog, these groups and my page is all part of the online experience with The Literacy Nest. Being a fan and a member, gives you a chance to interact with me and others in a unique way. I see it as a vehicle to gain knowledge, learn from others and share ideas and resources. If you would like to learn more, feel free to comment below or email me at theliteracynest@gmail.com.
Have a great day!
