Hosting A Movie Screening

It’s been a long term goal of mine to host a free movie screening of The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia. That day came last Saturday January 25, 2014! Thanks to several organizations, a supportive State Representative from Massachusetts and an amazing, local, non-profit organization, I was able to pull this off. Here are some pictures from the event.

The Dedham Community Theater: Dedham, MA. They donated the use of the theater for the morning!

Inside the theater lobby

Our guest panel provided plenty of literature to hand out to out guests about dyslexia.

Paul Reynolds, Town Selectman and member of Dedham Library Innovation Team. DLIT, helped make this a free event for all.
We had about 100 people in the audience!
Here I am introducing the film.  🙂
Our Fabulous guest panel: (L-R) Myself (The Reading Tutor/OG), Lisa Nelson, representing Decoding Dyslexia-MA, Julia Duggan, sophomore at Trinity College shares her own journey with dyslexia, Linda Goodness, representing Project D.E.B.U.N.K., and Jennifer Dougherty, representative from Learning Ally
If you think you’re interested in hosting a screening of this film in your city or town, feel free to comment below. I’d love to hear from you!
